Andrea Maria Perullo de Ledesma, L.Ac., M.S. After Mrs. Perullo de Ledesma experienced the incalculable benefits of Chinese Medicine as a teenager, she made a commitment to make it a career. She attended the College of Charleston, completing a Bachelor degree in Comparative Religious Studies with a minor in Asian Studies. Her grades were outstanding and earned her a place in the prestigious National Collegiate Honor Society (NCHS). She then achieved her Master of Science at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM); one of the most well-respected Chinese Medical Universities. Her rigorous program was four years, year round. After graduation she became Board Certified in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). During her education she had the opportunity to travel around the world and work in various hospital and clinical settings. She was awarded trips to China and South Africa by the NCHS in recognition of her academic success. On both trips she acted as a United States Medical Delegate. She has also acquired the ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, and German. One of the hospitals that she worked in was St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, New York. There she worked with patients infected with AIDS/HIV. This valuable internship furthered her knowledge in treating auto-immune disorders, which is the speciality┬áthat she has chosen to focus on, along with pain management and women’s issues. She also interned at PCOM’s clinic for several years treating a wide range of health concerns with an extensive record for success. It is clear from her background that Mrs. Perullo de Ledesma is deeply dedicated to helping those in need of medical attention.
